Senior Bookkeeper

Senior Bookkeeper (Full or Part Time)

Our Client is Queensland’s largest independent Chartered Accounting Firm located at One Eagle Street.  They pride themselves on their ability to get the job done and to provide clients with exceptional service and results.

Due to client growth, we are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our client’s existing bookkeeping team. You will be working with a consistent set of a variety of clients, providing them with regular professional bookkeeping services.

The Role:

This role would be ideal for someone who has at least 3 years bookkeeping and payroll experience. With a variety of bookkeeping functions and clients, the role will keep you engaged and challenged.

With flexible work arrangements and working from home options, we are looking for someone to join the team part time at a minimum of 3 days per week or on a full-time basis.

Duties will include, but not limited to: 

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Hubdoc and creditor processing
  • Income reconciliations
  • Payroll and superannuation management
  • General ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of BAS/IAS
  • Provide clients with monthly management reports
  • STP finalisation
  • Annual Workcover returns
  • Payroll Tax
  • Xero file creation and transitions from other systems
  • Process improvements
  • Professional client interactions

About You

We are looking for a professional, reliable team member with a can-do attitude who likes to take ownership of their role.

You will have:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience in different businesses and industries
  • Experience using Xero and MYOB
  • The ability to work closely with clients, with an emphasis on client interaction
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Any prior experience or knowledge of APS Practice Management Software will be highly regarded.

You must be able to hit the ground running from day one with the ability to adjust to clients of different sizes within different industries. Your attention to detail and ability to problem solve will be critical in this role.
