Clinic Nurse

We are currently seeking a Clinic Nurse to join an established single-surgeon practice, who are developing a progressive new clinic on the Sunshine Coast, Qld.

This role has excellent job security, where you will work in a new, friendly and dynamic Private Plastic Surgery Clinic.

About you:

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Clinic Nurse to join their team at their exciting new clinic on a Part Time basis working full days across Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  You will possess a high level of competency with post operative wound care and experience in the specialty of plastics.

Duties:

• Perioperative and Postoperative support.
• Suture removal, dressings and post operative wound care
• Clinical stock management for the clinic and upcoming surgical procedures
• Preparation for and assisting in minor surgical procedures
• Liaising with doctors, staff, patients and hospitals for pre and post operative care

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Previous Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery experience highly regarded
• Previous experience in private practice highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability to manage a busy workload and ability to multi-task
• Recent clinical nursing experience with wound care and minor procedures would be advantageous
• Excellent patient relationship skills
• You should be able to work autonomously and as part of a small team, with superior communication skills to provide empathetic care
• You will be pro-active, self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude, meticulous and calm under pressure
