Liquid Interactive is a Brisbane-based digital agency with a particular focus on product design for behaviour change and business transformation. We build digital products and platforms aimed at tackling big social issues at the national level, like mental health and domestic violence, alongside a range of exciting marketing and entertainment projects.

We’re looking for designers who excels in both UX practice and UI design: a consummate product designer and design thinker.

The role will suit someone comfortable with user experience prototyping and wireframing, as well as designing immaculate interfaces. Contract, part time and permanent applicants will all be considered. What is important is the breadth of your abilities with digital creative experience and design.

This position encapsulates product design, service design, and design thinking – so agency and product experience are highly advantageous. This standout role will see you strengthen your skills across creative design and user experience and require you to solve design problems from the customer’s point of view, backed up by our dedication to user research and testing. Please note this role includes detail-oriented UI design – we are looking for someone who can also do beautiful design mockups as well as the prototyping and wireframing that are part of modern UX practice.

Requirements for this position:

  • Proficiency in design tools – Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop), Sketch
  • Proficiency with prototyping tools like InVision, Marvel, Axure, Principle
  • 2+ years experience creating wireframes, mockups and style guides
  • Able to develop concepts into user flows and diagrams
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal and listening
  • A good eye for colour, type and proportion
  • Able to produce high quality visual designs
  • Knowledge of best UX practice and responsive design standards
  • Agile environment experience
  • An excellent team player
  • Able to make decisions and illustrate their value
