Our Client, Liquid Animation is one of Australia’s leading design and animation studios with over 19 years creating work for the major studios, for TVC’s and large clients. They combine our 2D animation heritage with advantaged 3D and CG technology, pipeline and techniques to deliver world class productions and content for screens of any size and platforms whether TV, phone, AR or VR. Much of Liquid’s work is for digital marketing and distribution and most commonly you will find yourself working on Disney Franchises whether it is for the US, China, Japan or Australia.

The Role:

A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and savvy production manager to join our talented in-house production team.

Working as a collective team with the EP, Creative Director and Technical Director you will contribute and coordinate the smooth running of productions through the animation department. Critical to this role will be your ability to manage and allocate resources including staff for effective and efficient delivery of jobs. You will track the status and schedule work across various jobs, complete daily reports and assist with miscellaneous requirements as needed.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Update and manage the master schedule with EP
  • Administration and set up of new job sheets for incoming jobs
  • Prepare, maintain and distribute artwork, storyboards, reports, etc. as needed to appropriate personnel
  • Manage and track incoming and outgoing materials and ensure latest materials and feedback is distributed to artists
  • Lead the day to day running of all projects and department(s)
  • Draft and manage internal and client schedules through production planning, coordination and troubleshooting
  • Provide the Producers, Directors, Production Manager and artists with support to enable them to complete their work
  • Develop and utilise planning systems and ‘work in process’ tracking systems daily
  • Ensure procedures are followed to ensure workflow from one department to the next is as seamless as possible
  • Stay abreast of issues on the floor, ensure all artists are aware of priorities
  • Provide administrative support and back up support to the directors
  • Log ticket on machine and software issues to IT support

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to present information in a concise and digestible form for managers
  • Strong ability to track different elements across various jobs
  • Energetic and able to keep up with shifting priorities in a fast pace environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to forecast potential issues and act with initiative
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Photoshop and video editing skills highly regarded
  • A strong understanding of digital production and digital technical requirements.
